DD for OGPS
OGPS (Omicron Techologies) I have spoken with Gary Robinson 1-877-903-2288
State of Registration : Florida, USA Head Office: Bellingham, Wa Exchange/Symbol: OTC - BB: OGPS Non-reporting but aware of deadline approaching in January of 2000 Shares Outstanding: 24, 170,000 Public Float: 2,000,000 Fiscal Year End: Dec 31, 1999 Transfer Agent: Fidelty Transfer Company Salt Lake City, Utah Omicron Technologies, Inc. is in the business of acquisition, research and development, and marketing of leading edge technologies for the Aerospace, Telecommunications, Defense, Consumer Electronics sector and Internet based business concepts.
They've got a very nice looking website... not spectacular but very nice. omicrontechnologies.com
My comments sometimes appear in ( xxxx ) and so these are not to be taken as quotes from OGPS.
Current stock price is $1.03 x 1.06 ; 52 week high is $ 7 1/2 and low is about 50cents. So it's double off the bottom but less than 1/7th of it's high. Clearly still much more upside than downside but being realistic every stock has a downside so be careful. Here's a chart for them. Notice when they first went public the stock sure shot up.
bigcharts.com.
Traded at a nice $4 range for quite awhile until word got out that they lost $11.4 million financing deal that they had announced that they were getting. Panstar was going to provide OGPS with the financing but then at the last moment Panstar did not get their own financing from their own bank to pass on to OGPS.
The stock suffered heavily for this reason alone. Without funding the future of OGPS looked pretty bad.
Not too long ago OGPS brought aboard a PR person and the stock rose on hopes of a turnaround from 50cents to $2.50 ; there were some problems with the PR guy and he was let go. The company is seeking formal action against this PR guy and the shares that he had. (There is speculation that this guy shorted against the box in retaliation). It doesn't really appear to be much of an issue though but thought I'd mention it. You can read more about it and other things here: Message 10322401
Omicron has just recently lined up (I believe this has just started) an arrangement to have a prospectus investment mailer go out to 150,000 potential investors twice a month. The "group" that is currently helping to get OGPS their new financing actually PAID for this THEMSELVES. (Interesting). Everything centers on whether or not OGPS can re-obtain the financing that fell through earlier and again was the single reason the stock is no longer trading at $4 share.
OGPS also is currently lining up publications/interviews/etc so that they will have the kinds of coverage that SNMM had that helped that stock go up from 50cents to now $24.00 share in under 6months. In fact, you can see this link which shows that OGPS and SNMM are already related to each other:
biz.yahoo.com
". Earnings from the casino website are expected within 90 days and income to the company will be based on a percentage of the total net revenues generated, reaching 75% when total monthly net revenues are over $1 Million. " - June 4th, 1999. Then OGPS expands on this news with another release: biz.yahoo.com "This acquisition is expected to be completed within the next two weeks and will strongly complement Omicron's recent agreement with Global Interactive Ltd. to develop a unique theme based Internet Casino and Sports Betting website announced on June 4, 1999. The company expects this website to be fully functional in July. " (Folks we are now IN July, but based on opening of other websites and the fact that this is an online casino.. would be surprised to see it open in early August.. my own opinion) Next, OGPS gives us some more specifics about their new online casino: biz.yahoo.com "BELLINGHAM, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 10, 1999--Omicron Technologies, Inc. OTC:BB OGPS is pleased to announce the impending launch of the Lucky Eight Casino within 4-6 weeks, which will be targeting the Chinese speaking communities in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Singapore, Malaysia and Chinese communities in other countries." (I think we all know how this sector has been doing GGNC and SNMM when news got out that they had locked up financing, opened their online casinos, and got realworld publicity. Just look at the charts below and you'll see that when these things come together things can take off in a hurry) bigcharts.com. bigcharts.com. Then just a few days ago we got word on a "joint venture" which "expects to license over 50 casino websites within the next six months generating in excess of $10M in total revenues and over $1M to Omicron. " (OGPS belives that their software is going to rival and beat Starnet's (SNMM) software. We shall see.) biz.yahoo.com Online casino venturing is not the only path that OGPS has for revenues. They also have a technological side. From their website: "Initially Omicron Technologies Inc. will focus on designing the CMOS APS into new products. This technology will ultimately supersede CCD, which is used by today's camcorders. The CMOS APS technology's cost is five times less expensive, has higher integration, uses 1/100 less power and operates at a higher speed (useful for real time bio-medical or military applications). APS also allows random access (electronic pan, zoom, motion detection) which is necessary in surveillance, tracking and image compression." (there's more to read.. be sure to look at their website at the link way above in my dd note) Here's some confirmation on a business partnership with Viaspace: Message 10338616
Some recent coverage has just begun with OGPS as The Meyer Group picked them up recently (ho hum) and zinvestor.com Nothing likely to spark huge attention but it shows that people are watching at this point whether they are buying or not I'm not sure. I think everyone is waiting to see if they truly can get financing and whether it's just a couple million dollars or if they can lock in alot more $5million??? that would go along way. More than that? Who knows? Some more reading here: Message 10321396 which is very good. Also, it looks as though OGPS is about to step up its marketing campaign significantly. Why would they do this unless they truly already have the financing in place and are about to start a huge blitz into the mainstream just like SNMM did: Message 10335080
Well, that's about it for now. I've been accumulating from $1.00 to $1.22 and am going to be out on vacation next week. I do have an order in to sell some of my stock at $3.90 so if someone ends up buying at that price, you'll know who shares you go part of. Yes, yes if SNMM went to $24 why sell at $3.90; I'm not greedy and I didn't say I was selling it all. I plan on getting back to find OGPS probably still trading between $1 and $2 but you never know. I'll be back monday July 12th to chat with everyone. One or two news releases were held off this week because of the long weekend holiday which are going to be coming out next week. The thing that will make me a believer is to SEE THE FINANCING IN WRITING! If I see that and depending on whether it's $1 to $2million or much higher than that, then I will be adding more with anything I can. That's just me. I sure would appreciate your help if this interests you. Another person I have heard might somehow be the key to OGPS's success is Call Bob Millstone at North American Corporate Consultants in Arizona: 623-334-8800 ; I wonder if he's the missing link in all this? I have not gotten to call him but my speculation is that he is the one making the financing arrangements? Anyone know if he was involved with SNMM or XDSL or GGNC?? Guess what.. on December 14th, 1998 I sold 1,500 shares of SNMM at 1.10 ; just some Christmas shopping money to buy my wife a few new dresses and a couple plane tickets. If I still held those shares today I could sell them for a new Lexus ($36,000)! I knew it was going to be huge then and got impatient.. won't happen again. I figure what's $2,000? Let it sit and see what happens.. if the financing is had then I'll maybe buy $5,000 worth and let it ride and not touch it til Christmas 1999. And this time I wont' be stuck with a few dresses, but maybe instead a 2000 C5 Corvette Coupe. (Yes, I'm dreaming). Disclaimer: As you can see, I'm an idiot. I sold SNMM for crap when I could have had a treasure chest. I know nothing about trading. I always flip a quarter (Heads I buy, Tails I sell). This post was just my freedom of speech thing to post what I've found and I'd like to get your opinions on the matter. Best of all, call the company and other 3rd party sources and help us find out if truly OGPS is heading where SNMM went. Thanks, JimB
