Susan, Nice grub, and good point RE: beta. As for the colors, when I look at these colors (except the blue) I just shake my head. First the go2net personal page is something I don't use very much now. All that bright red does not make it a site I can stay on for very long. And I still say it is not smart to have a person's portfolio in red (use green and not OD green). And that "baby poops orange" as Jed would say, is IMO butt ugly, a non-progressive 1970s color and it is ugly. The beta colors are better but the color OD green makes me think of things I'd like to forget. It is almost the same color as a body bag. OD green is a military color and will always be for many of us. I was instructed by a master at a very early age in how to paint with oils and I have been painting with oils ever since. If you know oils then you know oil painting is all about color BUT white or a light color in some cases is always mixed in. That is what gives an oil painting a different feel that any other medium. You never paint straight out of the tube or you end up with a go2net personal page. If I ever mixed up colors like that when I was a kid the nice old guy would of smacked me. Some of these colors being used may be "in" but they are still ugly. Whoever did AOL's work understands what I'm talking about. If you look at the colors on an AOL site you will see that all colors are toned down except the AOL logo, very smart. The toned colors make people relax, same as with an oil painting. That "baby poops orange" and red may get your attention but so does a car wreck. IMO the beta should dump the OD green and replace it with either a different green or better yet a teal (which there are many shades). As for the go2net personal page, we have to start over. Red must go, it is too bright to make the site at all relaxing, when people relax they spend more time on a site. Red is a warning and red doesn't belong in any portfolio I have. Each time I see it, an alarm goes off so I don't use the page very often. A much better idea than to have all these colors is to have a central color, liked by MOST people (blue, green, teal, light yellows, red but not bright red, etc.) and then to use that color in the many go2net sites. This as I'm sure you know is called color branding. I'll make my point, IBM? Blue, HWP? Light blue, CPQ? Red. Colors can be logos. Why not be the first internet company to nail a color down? So when you are on one of the many different web sites GNET has and you see a certain color you think go2net? 909S2U BLUE
