To "Fred Thornell". I, of course, am very saddened to hear about your mother not feeling well. i am quite sure that she does have "something" very wrong with her. however - it is NOT her prostate gland. women do NOT have a prostate gland. that is strictly a man "thing". men get prostate cancer all the time but NOT women!! take care, my friend.

Fred, I would also like to add my sincere wishes for your mother to recover from this.

I hope she has some of your optimism!

Sorry, I wasn't bashing you.
I never know when people are kidding on these threads or are serious.
I will say a prayer for your mom.
The medical world use colon and large intestine at time for the same thing. I know how confusing it can be for me when they start talking about a field in medicine that I haven't worked in for a long time.
They tend to forget that they are talking about a person and not a disease. If you have any questions, medically, I would be glad to check with my friends for you.
My best to you and your family.
Carole
