Thanks Goldsnow for this most interesting information. I was late in finding it, sorry. I was quite surprised on this going on seriously. BTW former chancellor Helmut Kohl had Latin as a first foreign language on his Theodor-Heuss Gymnasium, Ludwigshafen, as a second Greek. He couldn't understand French and needed a translator for English. But sometimes his pronunciation was difficult to understand in German even. The current chancellor seems to underestimate the importance of France for Europe and Germany IMO. Regards MNI.
