According to official data for 1990 (apparently the latest year for which we have complete data), the median age of men at the time of first and of second marriage is only a few years more than that of women.

At remarriage, the figure for men is 37.4, while that of women is 34.2. Bear in mind that the figure is for median age. That means that there are as many who are older than that as there are those who are younger.
