SUNW is about to exceed its old high!
Yet, for some reason, nobody is mentioning this. I think
that given the nice base the stock has built, $80 per
share is not out of line. I'd like to hear contrary
opinions and Haim is guaranteed to provide them.

Regards,

Jack

Haim your June 20 comments aren't all on the "money".

1. Alpha ! Not Alfa as in Alfalfa.
If CPQ doesn't pull their thumbs out of their a** soon though they'd be better of with Alfalfa crops.

2. PC ~ Cellphones
This is a new market segment that will eventually drive people buying more expensive boxes. It's a misconception to think these will become like cellphones ... cellphones don't increase in functionality/performance in the same ratio. % increase in functionality/performance is what drives people to new more expensive tech.

3. Network PC & set-top
Network PC and set-top will be MSFT based unless distributors want to invest millions in providing hotline support to non-techies trying to wrestle with Linux desktop or bugged version of a Java desktop. Other net appliances are just vapourware right now.

4. NT/2000 sales up not down.
These will be up as we see better n-way (up to 8) configs from INTC which will drive MSFT/INTC into the former UNIX workstation market and low-mid end server market. Also 2000 will be bundled as per my #3 comment.

Net result is that MSFT is positioned to do well.
