Hi Doc,

Deadlocks are a powerful negotiating strategy. The jurors are frustrated. The jurors are angry.

Human beings do not enjoy being separated from others. The effects can be dramatic, even on nit-wit jurors.

Over the weekend, they may start to lose confidence, and may even question their own judgment. A bad decision is always easier to explain than a deadlock.

I am hoping that these final innings drive the opposing parties farther away from each other.

Deadlocks can't be unlocked.
