Current browser technology does not support that functionality. As an alternative, Moonray has suggested a keyboard utility that he uses. I'm sure when he sees this he'll post a link.

Hot Keys may be utilized (as Mr. Lawrence has said), through the use
shareware macro programs. Two that I have used are:

Keyboard Express for Windows PC computers:

KeyQuencer Lite for the Apple computers:
download.com

These programs allow you to enter any repetitive text with a single
keystroke, via macro. I have set up a few of my Function Keys as
"Hot Keys" to enter Username and Password to sites such as SI, and to
generate stock symbol lists for many stock quote and chart Web
sites. They WILL generate special keys such as the Tab and Return.

A feature I'd like to see would be hot keys--
