I decided to opt for that approach for the time being. I created a blank cookies file and made it read only. Then I went ahead and authorized accepting cookies specifically from the SI Beta and went there. It asks for a tremendous number of cookies by the way. Also I didn't like all the clutter, so I blocked as ads all items containing "gif". This gave me a much cleaner, faster loading, more compact screen without the pictures. In a brief visit I blocked 805 "ads", so there must be one heck of a lot of pictures. A few of them were probably useful, so if I stay with SI after they make the Beta mandatory I will probably delete them one at a time. Carl
