c.d,

Thanks again for more insightful thoughts. Things are getting pretty nutty at both work & play from this corner, so it is difficult to find time for the investments.

Not sure what you are referring to about Benz. IMO their silence merely indicates they're still not getting what they had hoped for out of that Fortenberry well. My guess at this point is that the acid treatment on the lower zone didn't loosen it up and now they've gotta make the hard decision about whether to go for all the marbles and frac it, or give up and move up-hole. Glad I'm not the one in the catbird seat on that one! In any event the pipeline is still yet to be completed so this delay at least has not cost them any production that they otherwise could have had.

Will take another look at HEG based on your rave reviews. I had looked at it a year or so ago and it appeared to me that they had a huge potential but were sorely lacking in the proved reserves/production category.

Chevron is too huge for my taste. Once a company gets much more than a half-billion $$$ market cap. it takes too much good news to have a significant affect on the stock price IMO. For mid-cap companies I currently like Meridian Resources (TMR) and Comstock Resources (CRK).
