Ihave watched several games and I am quite surprised by the quality of the game the women play. I am also surprised by how strong they play the game. Some of the tackles of the Nigerians, the Ghanians and the N. Koreans reminded me of the butcher profession.

Anyway, the most enjoyable game was the quarterfinal between Brazil and Nigeria. In the first half the Brazilians totally dominated the game and were up 3-0. I don't know what their coach told them but in the second half there was only one team in the field, Nigeria. They managed to tie the game and should have won it! Then, in golden goal overtime, Brazil managed to win it by a spectacular free kick shot by their star, Sissi (who was walking during the game) to break the hearts of the Nigerians who almost pulled it off.

My predictions for the semifinals:

USA - Brazil: 3-1
Norway - China: 1-2

USA - China: 1-2 in overtime

It is also quite refreshing to see so many goals in this World Cup. The women come out to flat out play and don't get into some of the "destructive" tactics the men usually do.

When Brazil plays my son (doing fine) wears his Ronaldo jersey<g>
