ATML, Hi Jeff, yes it did break the upper line. I'm facing the same dilemma with IDTI (my only semi). ATML is of course much more widely known.

Too early to redraw lines, time to look again at straight line support and resistance and or the riding of MA's or MA crosses. Momentum indicators not much help here, too many false signals.

One thing you might try, go here and punch in envelopes (not bollingers) leave it on default (25, 5). Notice how ATML drops to the lower line when it breaks down through the top?

The !SOX has gained 300 points since October and has been on fire since the multi top break in early June. A hint of weakness now showing on the point and figure charts with a box size of 2 and a reversal of 3...

Best of luck, watch the earnings plunges you pointed out earlier. By the way you can put in prior earnings overlays on bigcharts...it's a big help...you probably know that.

Stan

ATML
This thing is now making me dizzy and I'm not sure I can hold on until earnings on the 22nd. This is becoming a bit much. I may actually buy some puts before they announce as they could retrace to the 24 level on average earnings.
