Good point George.

Look at the chart for HSE. The market started discounting the future of this stock back about mid January, well before there was much recovery in the actual price of oil. As Slider says, it'll probably do well from here on out - but a lot of easy money was made Jan - June.

Slider may be right about OSX stocks in this way: it was pretty easy to see that oil prices would rise and all that had to happen to improve HSE's outlook was for that one thing to happen. The OSX recovery requires a lot of variables to change ... oil price, company budget proceedures to wade through, interest rates must hold, many different companies, perhaps facing tough times with their bankers, need to step up their planning to get significant dollars flowing into the OSX. Could make for a bumpy take off.
