Divorce and don't re-marry? Not hard core non-marrying types.

"Of every 1,000 men who divorce at age 30, all of them will die before age 65, compared to 427 of every 1,000 married men."

And you women think we have it easy.

Now you know the only reason we get married is to stay alive.

Better married than dead. A good wife will not allow her husband to die until she has drained every drop of blood from his body.

Let's see, my father, who is almost 67, separated from my mother when he was 32, not 30, so I guess that statistic, strictly speaking, is accurate, but 32 is so close to 30 as to be statistically insignificant. Unless they mean "and don't remarry."

Marriageable men are pounced on as soon as they get unmarried, even before they get unmarried. Unmarriageable men seem to be duds, for the most part. My brother, who is 40, and never married, doesn't seem to be a dud, but he's awfully hard to please.
