Here's my suggestion not just to you Cheeky, but to all who really don't want to deal with design elments of any kind: If you use IE 4 or greater, go into "View:Internet Options:Accessibility", and check the option "Ignore colors specified on web pages". Although it won't give you the easter-egg colors of the classic site and it won't narrow the text column for those who insist on opening their browser to cover the full screen, it will do away with the colors entirely and it will give you a very clean text-only page. It's not quite Lynx, but it's as close as one can get without actually using that wonderful browser.
