Boom! You hit it on the head.

Some of the other new features are nice IMO but not really radical. Too much is changed just for the sake of change. People generally like the SI format, why mess with it?

Unfortunately, I'm starting to feel the way you do. But I think I want folders in addition. I really haven't played with the folders feature yet, but if I understand it correctly, a folder is a place I can file individual thread postings that I believe should belong in my personal archive.

After all, it IS difficult to remember that critical analysis someone posted sometime in May is now Reply #8476 of 11542. How can you find something like that again if you hadn't filed it in one of your own folders?

Reading 10 messages at a time -- VERY convenient.
Filing specific messages to your own folders -- Quite important.
Everything else -- marginal improvement (if any at all).
