Dave, the ZixCharge concept is nothing new (using CUST's server for storing credit card number etc). In fact, it's commonly known as ServerWallet. Globeset was among the first to pioneer the concept and deploy the product. In my opinion, CUST's patent application for ZixCharge may not be approved, in fact ZixCharge could infringe on Globeset's ServerWallet patented solution.

Globeset's ServerWallet allows consumers' sensitive data to be stored on a financial institution's secured server (Card Issuer for example) which, I would think, is more reliable, robust and secure than CUST's.

globeset.com

Still, ServerWallet has not been accepted by the industry, and has not taken off. Globeset's other internet payment products appear to be doing well.

Regards,

Tom
