Ram, thanks for your thoughts. The last paragraph seems fuzzy to me,
but I'll reread it tomorrow when I'm fresh.
IDTI is another SRAM, DRAM company based in San Jose area, with a fab
in Oregon. They have a portfolio of several thousand chip products
and are often compared with CY. Recently they started Centaur as a
subsidiary to develope the WinChip Pentium clone, much like AMDs
K6 but slower and low power (good for notebooks?).
I recently started following AFCI after a mention on CNBC. I think
fiber companies will do well for a few years. Also MRVC has fiber
products. I've followed ISSI since I got into ALSC, but I'm over-
weighted (typical American?) in ALSC and don't need another chippie
right now. Also exploring non-silcon based semi/equipment co.s like
VTSS and EMKR for a telecomm connection and to reinvest my riches
from ALSC someday.
I am frustrated that I did NOT invest in ANCR, NOVL and ADPT when
they were down last year. One cannot invest in every opportunity!
Good night all!
