Are you sure you were not running NU3? I had to uninstall NU3 as it was full of bugs with Win98.

I don't have system monitor running. I just run them every few days manually.

Sorry, I can't help.

Red light district ... Norton WinDoctor

Try this: Expand the 'stoplight' and right click on the square. From the resulting menu, select Update. Also, select properties, measurement tab, and set the schedule to a reasonable value. Mine defaulted to once a week. I prefer every 12 hours. Who wants a system problem undetected for six days?

Also, go through the sensors you're using and make certain the alarm levels are not even close to being activated.

I had the same minimized red light, normal size it was green, and WinDoc not finding errors. Unfortunately, I can't remember exactly what I did to remedy things.

Have a good weekend, PW.

P.S. Now that I've had a moment to think, I'm sure that the problem wasn't something related to WinDoc. Since the little stoplight was red, I was mislead into thinking it was WinDoc, which uses a big stoplight to indicate a problem.

Sure wish I could remember things better.
