Hi Susie,

We parked my kid's big Dodge Ram 4x4 on a big dirt berm in a construction site on a hill, and then sat in the back to watch the displays from several cities. That's almost as good as burning off a field; but I think you have us beat!

That was after we lit some fountains and did sparklers with Muz & Pop (who are 90+) after the big cookout. They also watched Josie's alligator, which went about 10' and shot sparks all over the driveway (..sending her into a terminal giggle fit..)!

Oh yeah...! Josie schmoozed me out of a new pair of "..red-blinky-light.." velcro-strap "sneaks" and a new pair of white summer sandals at the Stride Rite store (..only place I'll take kids for shoes..) at the mall this morning.

She looks like an EMT van running about now; blinkity-flash-blinkity-flash...!!

Of course, she also "..desperately.." needed a pair of "spinkle-sparkled" Stride Rite sun glasses (after trying on 4 different pairs), and an expandable-collapsable geodesic globe from the World of Wonders store.

(I did manage to get out of the WoW store WITHOUT the $150.00 fiber-optic, rotating table lamp, however; .....fast footwork - yuk yuk yuk) :-)

I'm fortunate she hasn't discovered Sax Fifth Ave. yet; but wait'll next year..!! (tee hee)

John :-)
