For all:

History is good to read, when you know it will repeat itself. In my opinion, is on it's way. BOJ has proven that the currencies markets are still in turmoil. This following show & site was on PBS Friday, and I think it is well worth reading.

pbs.org
We have, what, 40% of the world in recession or depression still?

Hutch

PS: When you find the part about gold, read it over again.

Hello Doug,

I think that everybody connected to the net will benefit greatly from a system like E-gold once it is fully implemented. Remember this system has been designed for the Internet and would not exist otherwise. It is designed to become the ultimate payment system backed by gold and to replace credit cards. It is targetting e-commerce.

It is true that people in countries with weak currencies would benefit a lot with a gold-backed currency. But that is not why E-gold owners have designed it.

As for what government will do in future years...it can't be worse than what they have done with the currencies for decades.
