I love colours, in women's clothing and flags and paintings et cetera .. planted a blooming rose this morning with a colour that is indescribably beautiful ... colours move me.

And for that reason vivid or starkly contrasting colours should not appear on SI outside of the home page and the charts [where they are useful] .. they distract ... any shades in the threads and subjectmarks area should be as unobtrusive as possible ... only there to aid the eye to focus on the subject matter. Yes, i like your current colours slightly better than the current beta, but they're still too dark, too contrasting, imho .... pastels, even better faded pastels - that's the thing. We shouldn't notice them [i don't mind the lilac shade from Classic if the Datek ad was peeled off of it -g-]

'table border' - is that the line around the posts in Classic? .. i don't know any of the techie terms ... yes, it is useful, imho - it frames the post, which is the centre of the whole project, eh.

I can't get into color for some reason.

Cheeky, by any chance, do you live in Pleasantville? <gg>
