Why are all the other Internet type companies doing it?
They want to raise money so they don't have to borrow to try to grow the business. I don't know about any of you, but I am firmly in the stock market bubble camp. The love of anything Internet is astonishing. I don't expect it to last forever. Then again, while it does last, why not take advantage of it. I have said before, I like JNNE's chances in the E-commerce game especially if they have more money in hand, but I don't promise they will succeed. IF an IPO of any of the companies raises cash for JNNE and we existing shareholders are allowed to participate, great. All the arguments about hurting the company have merit, but I doubt any IPO would be the main cause of JNNE failing. Lack of cash would do them in first.
