Charles, I agree. It is simplistic to blame WWI on just the Habsburgs. It was more like over eager imperialists blasting away for fun and profit. In some ways, the development of nuclear weapons is a good thing for the human race. Everyone knows how ugly another war like that would be so the nuclear card keeps the peace. Over on the Kosovo front, it appears that my prediction of "killing fields" is coming true. There is a power struggle within the KLA for control. Bodies of mid- level KLA commanders are showing up all over the place. It appears that Slobo was right. The KLA is nothing more than a bunch of narco-terrorists but now they have state power. They probably will end up like Afghanistan or Iran in the long run. -John
