But pertenant to the day:

odur.let.rug.nl

The problem: what were those other two amendments, I cannot find them (so far)

Re...not taking away your rights: I wish you were right: the fourth amendment is all but meaningless: asset forfeiture laws have made a mockery of both this and right to due process.
But right now i have a nice life too....and in case people dont realize it freedom often has to be fought for, and may have to be again, if the American people are not the wimps I think they are...many of the signers of the Dec of Independence were arrested, killed, had their family and possession hurt or damaged or taken, etc etc etc.
But happy fourth to all and I wish everyone well on this Independence day, 1999

I am searching far, far back. It may have been Shay's Rebellion, but it was certainly Jefferson. It has stuck
in my memory all these years because it is so unexpected.

Now this is only an approximation...

an occasional rebellion is fertilizer for the tree of
democracy.

Because of the elevated intellectual standards on this
thread I tried checking Bartlett's Quotations and doing
a search on both the Shay's and the Whiskey rebellions
but with no luck
