"CIBC World Markets acted for JDS Fitel. As well, that firm was the sole agent on a private placement of 3.14 million JDS Fitel shares which were sold by the Furukawa Electric Co., JDS's Fitel's largest shareholder, in March."

TORONTO, June 3 (Reuters) - The marriage between fiber optic makers Uniphase Corp. (UNPH-O) and JDS FITEL Inc. (JDS-T) is not yet consummated but already they're poised to seek new partners, Uniphase's chief financial officer said on Thursday.
