Do you honestly think that these companies will go through with the suits and allow the discovery process? Highly doubtful...I suspect that some very interesting facts will be uncovered during discovery (if it even gets that far).

I personally find these suits disgusting..especially on July 4th. IMHO, these suits are intended to intimidate posters who might reveal truths that are damaging to company insiders but are vitally important to shareholders.

Real companies are focused on business activities and increasing shareholder value by increasing earnings and sales. If the company is legit, short sellers can't affect the price in the long term.

However, if a hypothetical company's sole business is promoting stock, then it makes perfect sense to sue those who are trying to reveal the truth.
