hawk- i obviously don't know the answer since he didn't confide in me(G). however i'll give you my best guess.when asia blew up in the fall of 1997 he bought silver and zeroes as if to say i'm not sure whether this will end in deflation or inflation so i'll cover both.he then conlcluded it would end in infaltion as he sold the bonds and kept the silver.why silver?first he has owned it before and second it has the best supply demand story of all the metals.that is my complete guess as to his motives.anyway it is the metal he owns so he has voted with his wallet regardless of why.hope that helps.
