Can anyone tell me how a browser could be designed to "detect" pornographic "images" on the internet??? I'm somewhat familiar with vision systems and pattern recognition, but I don't see how such a system could work as claimed.

HTSF claims to use "proprietary image analysis" to do this. What are they looking for? How can they tell a penis from a finger, or a breast from anything else (I know I can 8^)). I can understand how they can detect such content based on web page "keywords", but not images. Pattern recognition depends on a stored image, then it recognizes similarities to that image. To detect the content of random images would be very difficult, if not impossible, to do.

Either this is a total bunch of BS, or HTSF has a very powerful tool in their hands not only for detecting pornography, but virtually anything else. I'm very skeptical, as an engineer with at least some understanding of this stuff.

I'm not trying to bash the company, just don't see how this can be done. I don't own HTSF at this moment, since I sold out too soon. Made more than a double, but missed the big ride 8-\.

It is looking attractive at this level again, but I still see some downside, IMO.
