All, I tried to edit my Post # 4428 but the door slammed on me too soon. I made a statement in that post that was predicated on hearsay, regarding RCN delivering DSL to MDUs. I may have to take that back, in part, because the way they are billing their DSL service is as a commercial one for businesses, ostensibly. But where does one conduct their business, is another story. After reviewing their web site on this topic for the first time just now, I see that they are set up to deliver DSL at rather healthy monthly rates (see url below), and whether the end point is in a business location, or an MDU, may just be one of those arbitrary things. The point being, however, that it is not being portrayed by RCN as a vehicle for casual web surfing. Not at those rates, in any event. More likely as a means for businesses to access 'net services and VPNs in buildings that are not supported by cable, or in MDUs which likewise do not contain their brand of cable offerings. rcn.com Sorry if this has caused anyone any confusion.
