Is there another way besides the border to make the message "stand out" if that is your issue? Would shading do it?

If SI was going to add a border then I would want it to be resizeable, otherwise its back to the fixed font (imo somewhat outdated) look. And how would you handle borders around the 10 messages at a time feature?

If you put all the links inside the box, and you resized your browser window (and box) then it could get pretty squished in there.

I agree with the white text and the border. Looks good.

Have you done any work on the "Reply Message Preview" screen?
To my eyes, it's also overly "busy".
