PC, re: retailers and "free" PC's.
According to Peter Caruso at ML this is a good deal for retailers. Circuit city's 17% increase in share price last week was attributed to the free PC announcement.

He says, "The Internet service providers, not the retailers, are shouldering much of the risks of these deals." He re-iterated his "buy" on CC, Best Buy and Tandy.

PC, According to the newspapers, there were lines around the block to get the free pcs at Office Depot. I didn't check it out myself, so I'm just going by what the Houston Chronicle reported.
