"Just ask those poor souls who were shorting Amazon so hard early on." Oh gee, how original. I think you better check out IRID for a gee whiz technology that never gained market acceptance due to a pie in the sky business plan just like WAVX and CUST. Imagine all those poor IRID longs who rode IRID down to the bitter end?
peter, I don't think you get it... Visa does not want to set up a CYCH system... they are a CYCH system! Unfortunately for you guys they are the "CYCH like system" that the public uses. The only reason Visa doesn't do microtransactions at this time is because the volume of microtransactions is not there now to be profitable. (How much revenue has WAVX or even CYCH brought in via microtransactions?). Also it is customary for Visa to charge roughly 2.5% per transaction. 2.5% of a 50 cents purchase is probably not worth their time at this moment... However, you would be naive to think that Visa will not enter the market of microtransactions if one develops. As I stated previously, Visa is willing to transact now for $4 purchases with their cut coming out to approx. $0.09 on the transaction. I am sure Visa would be more than willing to charge 18% on a 50 cent transaction (giving them a 9 cents cut) which is still significanlty undercutting what WAVX proposes to do. WAVX is doomed cause they have to pay a box maker AT LEAST 10% per transaction... Think, who has all the cards here, WAVX or OEM's? DELL and Compaq play hardball and I can guarantee you that WAVX is going to have to offer more than a 10% cut to a player to incorporate their chip since WAVX has little market acceptance now and needs to do something soon to get a revenue stream going. They could however do another private placement <ggg>...----gj
