I have done well by buying after downgrades, and selling after upgrades. The recent example of Intel is very typical. Buying at 52 after the MS downgrade worked as expected. Oracle before that. Need we mention the strong buy on Amazon at the top. Remember the strong buy on AOL by MM at 145. But regarding 3COM, I don't expect a 10 bagger or anything like that. I expect it to return to the 40's within a year. Either through increased earnings, or a buyout. At the moment I am hoping for some strong buys on CUST. That will the signal to short again, right ? What happened to the guy in Chicago with the $300 target ?
