Had been Ricochet user for almost two years but gave up about 1 year ago. It was too slow for me. Sure if you just want to read emails then it is fine. Use it for surfing and day trading, you will be far behind. There is a wireless DSL (WavePath) service that was recently bought out by Sprint which provides upto 1Mbps symetric DSL service. Unfortunately, my house doesn't have direct line of sight to their microwave tower in the SF bayarea. It takes less $$ to build their network than what takes Metricom to build theirs, I think.
