Napier's Marine Product Outperforms Competitionbiz.yahoo.com Thursday July 8, 9:14 am Eastern Time Company Press Release VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 8, 1999-- Napier International Technologies Inc. (TSE:NIR. - news) is pleased to announce test results for its environmentally-friendly, marine-grade paint remover, SV35-M. Stripping of the protective bottom-coat or anti-fouling paint of recreation boats is traditionally accomplished in one of two ways; either the coating is scraped off by hand, which is labor intensive and ultimately expensive, or ''hot'' chemical strippers are used which are damaging to the boat's substrate and the environment. In third party laboratory trials recently conducted by a Canadian government agency, Napier's marine-grade paint remover, specifically designed for anti-fouling paint on sensitive substrates such as Gel-coat, was tested against two leading brands of chemical anti-fouling paint removers. The laboratory report titled ''An Investigation of the Effects of Chemical Strippers for Anti-Fouling Coating on Polyester based Gel-Coat'' determined Napier's SV35-M was the preferred choice for removing anti-fouling paint. In its conclusion, the laboratory report states, ''The Napier International SV35-M was the least detrimental of the three products evaluated, producing no discernible attack on the surface and no permanent loss in hardness of more than 10 percent. Recovery of properties usually occurred within 48 hours at ambient temperature and took place even under water.'' Napier's SV35-M has been engineered specifically for removal of marine-grade paint efficiently and cost effectively without damage to the boat or the environment. This report confirms that Napier's SV35-M product is now ready for an international launch into the multi-million dollar recreational marine industry. ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS Bradley T.
