to: chalu2 from: truedog Not that it really makes a whole lot of difference but, as I recall George senior was a navy pilot flying a thunderbolt off a carrier. I also thought that Joe jr. was killed in a virtual suicide mission over Europe. Not really positive but seem to remember that from a biography of his nasty old father. It was a volunteer mission and, according to what I heard,(not verified) the old man told him to take it because, if he came back he could be president. He didn't care about the young man's life but, was more interested in his political future. How's that for fatherly love? Almost every man has one failing or the other and, even though it is a very bitter pill to swallow, we have to take the candidate we feel can be most effective. TD
