My experience with biotechs has been almost the same.....after 3-4 yrs XOMA finally paid off just a little and mostly on recent speculation...the only way I have seen biotechs get anywhere predictably is when they have at least one cash cow ala AMGN and, as I've mentioned before, now CEPH. Also BGEN. JJJ has been touting IMCL for a while and it looks like it's finally making a move, eh?

VICL - I've been happy with my ST gains on this IT hold so far... I picked it up as replacement for my oil play GLBL... I'm always looking for long speculations on my IRA. So far I'm up more than 20% from the 30th of June... not bad for a biotech sector considered out of favor. <g> It's an IT play as I mentioned but I'm not above turning it into a ST play if it turns south... so far not bad. With the new Business Week coverage I'm looking for a little more...

Home Run City? I sure hope so...
