<BDE>

Floorless convertibles are never friendly to a company. Nothing good to report about BDE's either. btw, I posted a long time back that BDE issued a floorless, and all the thread ignored my posts.

As for the recent s-3 filing, I can't see anything positive about the outside investors wishing to sell ALL of their shares already. Maybe they will hype the stock to get a better price?? But if they are true believers in the co, why are they exiting en mass?

. . . . . Paranoia induced question . . .??

Has anyone calculated how many weeks it is from the time I call a stock a SAM to the point where they announce an offshore convertible deal? Seems to be an average of about 7 or 8 weeks. <smirk>

ARTT, UOLP, IRSN and BDE all rose between 75 percent and 300 percent, then within a month of hitting their highs, one-by-one, these companies announced their FIRST offshore convertible stock deal ever. . . Call it paranoia or call it coincidence. . . .but it appears to be more than either.

Turns out PLCO did same, but I think it happened before the fact. . . if I remember correctly. . . not sure without looking.

.

SO. . . . . .

FOUR POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

1. We begin focusing on larger cap stocks that are less likely to go such a route.

2. We jump out of the smaller volatiles after 6 to 8 weeks and turn short. . . so by the time the convertible deal is signed, we are already in the money on the short side. . . . .so let it drop. . . . then when the conversion is complete, we turn back to the long side WAY ahead of the game in every way. . . .and with profits already made on both sides of the ball. A few of these type plays and any barnicles we may have acquired will soon fall off and look for another ship to attach themselves.

3. We play more "position only" plays on micro caps. . . .where once we see a top we jump ship. . . .rather than hold long term.

4. We go Ultra Stealth Accumulation [U.S.A.]. . . which can only occur on a private website.

Thoughts anyone?
