Topa, the internet stocks are a mystery to every analyst including Steve Harmon. According to them they should not be going up the way they are doing. And GoTo is no exception.

I disagree with Steve that GoTo went up in sympathy to ASKJ. My thought is that there are people out there with money and are looking for Internet stocks that are still low priced and they can jump in on. GoTo is one of them. At $50, it is on the fringe and I expect to see some investors come in tomorrow and drive it up to say 70 to 75 (the stock price of a 2nd tier Internet stock such as NSOL, RNWK etc.) Then I suspect GoTo will be subject to profit taking.

We just have to wait and see.

Topannuity, shows that Steve Harmon doesn't know too much about GOTO or ASKJ. All major news services were reporting on Wednesday that GOTO was up from the following:

(1) GoTo.com's Online Marketplace Reaches More Than 10,000 Advertisers, 80,000 Network Affiliate Sites, an Estimated 10 Million Unique Users and A Top Relevance Ranking in NPD Survey

This momentum followed through into Thursday with additional news later in the day which major news services attributed its price movement:

(2) GoTo.com Teams With Netscape as Premier Search
Provider for Popular Netscape Net Search Program

I was daytrading Thursday when ASKJ was finally released (took a day off from work). It finally went public around 1:30 PM EST or so which is almost at the end of the day. ASKJ opened at around $72 ran to $76 in the first half hour and then stayed in the 60's for most of the day closing around $64 (you can check for yourself by pulling up a day chart for Thursday on ASKJ). Is this the trading action that GOTO was supposed to be trading in sympathy with?!? I'm pretty sure Steve Harmon would admit he didn't do too much research when he made that statement.
