David, your assement of the situation is correct, the value will only be known to us over the next few weeks,to speculate either way is foolish. However I belive the odds are in our favor that the deposit is viable.Simply based on the structure of the JV after the bulks DBs must make a decision by Nov.The market has discounted the unknown direction in the stock price"rightfuly so" IMO this is a great buying window at these prices. If DBs chooses not to proceed then the stock is overpriced.I must admitt it is a tough call.My bet is it will be a mine. James

Smaller diamonds are in abundant supply. The control exercised by the Central Selling Organization limits the flow of diamonds to the market, and provides stability and support for price. If the Canadian diamond deposits were allowed to flow quickly and freely into the market, diamonds would surely be "cheap" in comparison to current prices. If
DeBeers wants to prevent this, controlling the deposits is an obvious strategy, and for them to then veeeeeeery sloooooowly mine them is imo conceivable. I think that's why the DeBeers connection is not universally seen as a "plus".
My bet is that DeBeers will be very good for MPV shareholders in the long run, but that doesnt help the guys who have already been here for a long run. Also this keeps the short-term players on the sidelines, so don't expect a big fat runup when the results are out. Just my view.
