As changeable as a weather vane? IMHO we're in the guessing game zone now - the thread is becoming weighed down with bears -maybe the bulls can take some comfort in that? Before the auctions in the late 70's it would have taken a brave soul (for the PCs) to have predicted the huge rally that would follow. d

John/anyone - is the BofE auction today - with the results tomorrow? If so I guess we can take it that the spot action today in London - Kitco - reflects the price the bids were filled at?

No, I'm not sure of that at all, I think this liberal administration wants everyone to believe all gold should be sold, that does not mean all CB agree.
