I use a program called RIM (REAL IDEA MACHINE), which scans ALL 10000 stocks all day long in real time, and keeps updating columns of the best (or worse) for more then 30 studies ie. volume, price gainers / losers, gappers, breakouts etc. There is also a "ranking" columns which weights each of the 30 studies for each stock and list the top 30 by rank. I then use this list to quickly do further DD to decide if I want to invest (gamble). You must be using a real time ticker (ie. I use Real Tick III with Watley), for this software to work. I could not day trade without it to identify potential trades. Jim
