Carolyn, that's probably a better fix for Blue's browser than the one I just found for him, but he could try these solutions and let's hope there's Something that'll get rid of that red RIGHT AWAY....I read he said your helping him with his browser & knowing him he appreciates it.... Blue, how ya feeling this morning Pal? Better, I hope. If one of these doesn't work, then I guess someone better ask one of the geek sites here on SI about a solution. If you're too embarassed to ask those guys for help with your browser problem, I'll go ask 'em for ya if ya like...I won't laugh or poke fun, I'll be real sensitive about it I promise. What are friends for? Blue, this is what I found, maybe or maybe not the same thing as Carolyn's but a different order of operations in the approach... (stats are from control group admission examination averages records): Description of healthy browser color settings - *(From Desktop)- click - My Computer, Control Panel, Internet (Explorer with a hammer and a key picture), Internet Properties, General... then down at the bottom there's a square on the left called "colors", click it... some settings are there... mine's working fine and here's how it looks - Links - visited is green, unvisited is blue, use hover color is unchecked, Hover is blank. **Might be best to click on that ? question mark square in the upper right and drag it down to the color choice area about now...whether from this approach or from Carolyn's. ***Go into Help and Index and see what's in there to help you get rid of that red by changing the settings. ****Try clicking the mouse from both the right and the left, try double clicking, dragging, any way you can think of to access more options within those bars. Sometimes that's the way I find the healing solution and get a homeopathic preventive remedy for the future in the process. Is Joe away for this emergency? He'd be the one to know how to fix it! Well, he might be back by midnight to check his lightstick Display, anyway. Best of luck, hope this helps. If not, let me know if you'd rather I go to the SI geeks to prescribe something for it. Maybe Jed might want to whack it with a leather mallet, but I dunno if that's a good idea. 909s2U, Joan
