OT:UK taxes
John, Vendit was probably right about the 70%. If I look at my pay statement, about 40 - 50% goes in taxes each month, total (If you sum all the various ones together). So, if you figure that just about everything else carries a 17.5% tax, then that is 57.5 - 67.5% ... close to enough to 70%, especially if you add in the other charges not taken directly from your pay. Council tax, water etc..


On that basis, then I agree.
