Mike: re:NEON

I think I should document my statement that NEON analysts expect NEON to capture 42% of the industry profits next year. I got the information from a MULTEX Investment Review dated June 26. Actually the report predicts a total of $57.1 Million in profits with NEON capturing $24.54 Million--42.99%. The nearest competitor is Excalibur with anticipated share of 12.82%.

The report lists competitors as Descartes Systems, Excalibeur, FlexiInternational Software, ISOCOR, Logility, Pervasive Software, Sagent Technology, Segue Software, and Unify Corp. I recall a conversation I had with NEON's IR person who identified FlexiInternational as their key competitor.

At this point I can't say whether revenues are a result of acquisitions. I do think, though, that the acquisitions have certainly been a drag on earnings. I will try to determine to what effect revenues have been impacted.

Regards,
Len

Thread: NEON Correction?

I have just learned that I may have posted incorrect data regarding NEON's market share. The report I used grouped NEON in among several other software companies it referred to as "Emerging Early Stage Software Companies". These may or may not be EAI companies. I will report bac k as soon as I clarify the data.

Sorry for any confusion.

Len.
