Well, if not WCOM, then someone else. There have been a lot more cable megamergers lately then wireless megamergers.

WCOM is focusing on wireless for the homes it doesn't have a pipe into already That does not mean cable companies should be ignored. I feel the cable companies are extremely well positioned to deliver wireless broadband. One of the most aggressive of cable companies in the world is embarking on deployment right now: biz.yahoo.com "We see wireless communications as a natural extension to our broadband deployment plans. This infrastructure will be very useful in delivering Priority Telecom and chello broadband services to an even wider customer base across Europe." Conventional wireless players could get blindsided from a very unlikely competitor...cable companies.
