Thank you Ike for feedback to my Q. I talked to two brokers from smith barney, both in the business for many years. They never heard of SI.

Also I find many people (friends, relatives etc) thinking about all kinds of investments (Annuity, preferred stock, REITS, funds, MM, CD's). For me it is just common stock.

My father-in-law died at age 86 with the following portfolio:

o T, LU, PFE (10 yrs), IBM, TXT, ALD, and some cash

Heard some older fellow on wall street week answer Lou's question about portfolio breakdown for the elderly. His answer was "100% common stock to the day you die".
