I also worry about Sun's lack of execution on the desktop appliance. PPP has nothing to do with it. Getting a vision off the drawing board (where it's been for too long) and into the marketplace
does.

What' wrong with McNealy & crew? They had better get their bums in gear!! Or they will hear from their shareholders.

Qwik, as we discussed earlier SUNW think's it's above the desktop since they ignore it and invest next to $0 in it ... yet McNeally is the most vocal anti-MSFT consortium member ? What's wrong with that picture...I'll tell you...

The failure to execute a real desktop strategy has a very vocal anti-MSFT McNealy hoping that the DOJ will do something to MSFT so that he can can get a 2nd chance in the desktop market with his half-thought half-implemented thin-client approach. SUNW has done absolutely zero to make the Solaris desktop any better since CDE and now their whining to the DOJ hoping that the DOJ gives MSFT a whippin to slow them down since technologically SUNW can't compete with MSFT on the desktop.
