Ausdauer, if I *really* wanted to be pro-SONY, the list of best-selling digicams would have been presented more like this:

"Mavica cameras currently hold 40% + of the market and it's increasing..." (statement on 6/2/99 from :

Then, indeed, everyone could have seen more clearly the truth about floppy-based digicams intruding more and more on the CompactFlash and Smartmedia arena, a fact I notice your post deliberately avoided (...i.e your post on the Sandisk thread, one which I had never visited until directed there today by your URL). Travis posted the CNET 1000-Most-Popular URL on this thread on 7/2/99 ( Message 10368300 ). My original post was directed to comments made by Rocky Reid about 1) Nikon Coolpix 950 and 2)"Consumer Digital cameras either have CompactFlash or Smartmedia slots".)

I just wanted to demonstrate the popularity that 1.44MB floppy-based cameras currently have. Those just happen to be all from Sony at the moment. Perhaps Clik!-based cameras will soon join in?

[Should I post this information on your Sandisk thread?]
